England international Kane has been the pacesetter in the Golden Boot race in recent weeks but he’s presently on a mini-drought. The England man is yet to score since returning from an ankle problem.

The England national team skipper suffered an ankle problem last month. The injury was sustained in the final minutes of the 2-2 draw at the home of Merseyside giants Everton. He had scored a brace during the game against the Toffees to take his tally to 21 goals in the league.

Kane missed the home clash with Southampton as a result of the injury before returning to action in the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City. He was on from start to finish as French defender AymericLaporte scored in the final ten minutes to help the Citizens retain the trouble. His goal gave Manchester City a 1-0 win over Spurs. The Citizens have now won the Carabao Cup title in each of the last four seasons.

Since his return from the aforementioned ankle injury, Kane has failed to score in two Premier League games. He was surprisingly not on the scoresheet asTottenham Hotspur thrashed bottom club Sheffield United 4-0 at home. The England man was overshadowed by Welsh international Gareth Bale who scored three goals. South Korean national team star Son Heung-Min scored the other goal for the North Londoners.

Kane was also not on target in Spurs’ last league game, a 3-1 defeat at the hands of hosts Leeds United. He would be hoping to get back to form when Spurs host Wolves in the first of the three remaining games in the league.
