MANCHESTER CITY DUO COULD MISS OUT VS LEEDS UNITED
Leeds United will face their toughest challenge of the season when they face Manchester City on Saturday at Elland Road in the Premier League. The Premier League leaders could be without defensive duo John Stones and Kyle Walker for the game on Saturday, according to Yorkshire Evening Post. Stones had started against Real Madrid but he was withdrawn midway through the first half with what appeared to be a muscular issue.
Massive game
It’s a massive game in the context of the league. City are aiming to win the title and they are aware that if they drop any point, Liverpool are likely to pounce on it. They have been outstanding in the league, but Leeds have proved to be a tough opponent for them in the past. For the Whites, the next three matches are going to shape their destiny. The survival is at stake but if they can pick up at least two or more points from those three games, they will breathe easily.
Marsch has done a brilliant job since taking over from Marcelo Bielsa. He has not only arrested the decline but has gradually injected confidence into the team. Leeds are unbeaten in their last five games in the league, winning three of them. After the Man City game, they face Arsenal and Chelsea. Given the form City are in, it will need a herculean effort to get something from this game.
City will be hoping that they can continue their brilliant run in the league and win this tie especially if they are going to be very serious and intentional about snatching the league title off the grasps of league rivals Liverpool.
